Cathy and her family (husband and little three-year-old James) have a blog which details how to navigate travelling with a family – they have travelled 11 countries over the past four and a half months alone!
It’s Cathy’s aim to build a community of people who love to travel; especially with children. In the future, Cathy wants to focus on particular audiences with certain blog posts – little explorers and big explorers, budget explorers and luxe explorers.
The brief was pretty prescriptive, Cathy wanted wellies and suitcases to feature. Initially, I split up these elements, however, in our development round, Cathy decided she’d like both to be displayed in her logo!
During the time of development, I actually came up with a bit of a rogue design! (After having completed designs which hit the brief, don’t worry!) It had none of the aspects Cathy had mentioned – it was a bit of a risky move!! But it turns out Cathy liked it so much; she actually wanted two logos!
So, as you can see above, the first logo is the requested design – wellies and suitcases – which depicts the travel part of the blog. And the second brand design is more of an ‘explorer’ style.
From this, I actually created a collection of prints! From adventure to explore, travel to paradise – they are all for sale on my Etsy shop. Please have a look here – I’m thrilled with them!
